Presentations by members will focus on the period from the mid-19th century to the outbreak of World War II. Depending on the interests of the presenters, topics may include political matters, notable people, social history etc in Britain and abroad. Discussion follows.
We continue to study the History of Europe from 1789 to 1914.
The format for local history has been established. Members explore a topic of their choice and share their knowledge and discoveries. Visits in October and April. N.B. Dec 13.
We will meet at a church in the morning, have a talk from someone connected with the church or from the leader, stroll around the area and have lunch/a drink at the local pub. Walking shoes advisable, numbers limited. Individual donations to church funds (£2 suggested).
