Bridge

Our Bridge groups offer a progression of skill levels. The first two focus on playing the cards and the popular ‘ Acol Bidding System’. The next two build on this by covering Duplicate Bridge, which is played at most clubs. The remainder require three years’ experience.

Bridge Beginners ClassCode: 22


A course for complete beginners, those wanting a refresher, or those who have never learnt a bidding system. No partner necessary.

A class for people who have already attended a Beginners' Bridge class (or have played socially) and now wish to get to grips with the bidding system. No partner necessary.

Stronger Defence: good leads, signals, discards, helping partner. Declarer Play: managing trumps, avoidance play, ducking, strip-and-throw-in etc. Better Bidding: competitive and defensive bidding, useful conventions. All set hands. Partner not needed.
